Dutch Potato Starch cooperative Avebe can now call itself 'Royal'. In honour of its 100 years anniversary on November 11, the Dutch King, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander awarded Avebe the Royal Warrant.

On 7 and 8 November, Agrico held its annual variety show at its research station in Bant. During this show, the cooperative presented its new, innovative varieties and inspired visitors to work together to maximise professionalism in the chain.

As of October 1, the new JASA packaging line at potato company Nedato in Oud-Beijerland is in operation. Nedato added this new packaging equipment to cope with the demand for smaller packaging in retail.

Daniel Leighty has been promoted to Global Vice President of Sales. Leighty is now responsible for Key’s worldwide sales organization to bring the company’s high performance digital sorting, conveying and process automation systems to the market.

Lammert Buwalda, Royal-ZAP/Semagri, Wieringerwerf on potato breeding: 'It's a matter of starting somewhere and waiting for a chance hit.'
