Agropa Handels GmbH is a German potato and onion trading company that operates across the entire potato supply chain from field to retail. The company handles the acquisition, storage, processing, packaging, and distribution of table potatoes, seed potatoes, processing potatoes, and onions. It supplies the food retail trade with small-pack potatoes and delivers processing potatoes to the industry for the production of French fries, chips, peeled potatoes, and dumpling dough. The company also runs an export business from its Straubing office and is one of Germany's largest propagation organisation (VO) companies.
Agropa Handels GmbH is a family-run company and a subsidiary of Dittenhauser Agrar GmbH. Its modern Upper Bavarian site in Brunnen (OT Hohenried) was occupied in 1998 and has been continuously expanded and modernised, with a new high-tech production hall going into operation in 2016. The company also operates a large collection and processing site in Straubing, which is the largest table potato facility in East Bavaria, and a seed potato site in Grasheim.
