Gaia Consulting Limited was founded in 1987 as a locally owned agricultural research company in Newton, Manitoba. The company undertakes independent pesticide efficacy, tolerance, and agronomic research in PMRA zones 5 and 14, focusing primarily on the potato, vegetable, and specialty crop sectors.

Gaia Consulting collaborates with crop protection firms, fertilizer manufacturers, seed companies, grower associations, food processors, individual farmers, and government agencies, and has completed experiments for over forty Canadian, American, and worldwide organizations.

The company conducts crop protection efficacy trials, variety evaluations, and agronomic research to help with product development, registration, and crop management decisions.
