JOA Air Solutions is a Netherlands-based engineering firm that designs, builds and implements tailor-made industrial air quality, emission control, and energy recovery systems for the manufacturing and processing sectors.  The firm, headquartered in Delft, Netherlands, specializes in the design and implementation of unique industrial solutions for dust extraction, vapor removal, air filtration, and heat recovery in complicated production settings.

Founded in 1998, the firm collaborates with enterprises in industries like food manufacturing, chemicals, plastics, tobacco, medicines, and materials processing to enhance workplace air quality, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance in industrial facilities.

JOA Air Solutions creates integrated systems to handle difficulties such as industrial emissions, dust management, vapor extraction, explosion safety, and process efficiency. In one of its projects with Royal Avebe, a Dutch potato starch producer, the client faced the challenge of reducing particulate emissions from three starch dryers to comply with stricter environmental limits of 20 mg/m³ before the potato processing campaign began. JOA conducted a pre-engineering study involving site inspections, airflow analysis, and CFD modeling to evaluate the existing air treatment system. Based on the findings, the company proposed upgrading the wet-trap scrubber system with optimized nozzle design, improved airflow distribution, and better liquid-to-gas ratios to enhance dust capture efficiency. The recommended solution helped the facility achieve the required emission standards while maintaining production continuity, and also identified opportunities for future energy recovery improvements.
