Meijer has been in the potato business since 1920. Their story starts with Kees Meijer Sr when he became a potato trader, more than 100 years ago.

Nowadays Meijer Potato develops and markets its own potato varieties. They anticipate changing circumstances and focus on greater availability and enjoyment. Meijer Potato works together with customers and partners worldwide and sell propagating material and licences of their varieties in 60 countries.

Meijer Iberica was founded in 2007. The company is a joint venture between Meijer Potato and Javier Boceta, director of Meijer Iberica. The joint venture operates directly in the Spanish and Portuguese markets.

Meijer Potato UK

Meijer Seed Potato Ltd is based in Norfolk, from where they serve their customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The company changed its name in 2015.
