OTA (Organic Trade Association)

The Organic Trade group (OTA) is a membership-based trade group that represents the organic agricultural and goods industry in North America. The group, established in 1985, brings together producers, processors, certifiers, distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders involved in the production, processing, and marketing of organic products.

The Organic Trade Association works to advance organic standards, encourage market growth, and advocate for regulations that influence the organic business. Its members represent the whole organic supply chain and participate in networking, education, regulatory lobbying, market reporting, and tools to help organic businesses develop and raise consumer awareness. OTA also organizes industry events and offers resources for organic certification, legislation, and market trends.
