Dutch Robijn is a medium-maturing potato (3–4 months) suited for crisp production. It thrives best in high-altitude regions (1800–2600 m.a.s.l.), with optimal performance in Bomet County and areas like Kiambu, Nyandarua, and Trans-Nzoia. It has a low yield potential (≤ 30 tons/ha) and produces round tubers with rough red skin, pale yellow flesh, and medium-deep eyes. The variety has long dormancy (3.5–4.5 months) and a dry matter content of 21.6%. Plants are medium tall, erect, and rarely flower. It is susceptible to Late Blight.
