In Nederland zijn in de maand maart 2011 in totaal 300.500 ton aardappelen tot consumptieproducten verwerkt (bron Produktschap Akkerbouw). Vorig jaar in maart kwam het verwerkingscijfer uit op net geen 290.000 ton.
Totaal over de periode april 2010 t/m maart 2011 komt het verwerkingscijfer uit op 3,43 miljoen ton tegen 3,377 miljoen ton over de periode april 2009 t/m maart 2010.

Aviko Advances Factory Electrification with E-Boiler Installation in Lomm Supporting Net Zero Goals
Aviko has installed a fully electric e-boiler at its Lomm factory in the Netherlands. Powered by renewable electricity, it will replace part of the site's natural gas-based steam generation and cut CO₂ emissions by at least 4,800 tonnes a year.
