During PotatoEurope more than 300 guests from Germany and abroad met on 7th September 2022 at Gut Rethmar to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Europlant Pflanzenzucht GmbH and to pay tribute to Dr Heinrich Böhm, who is retiring.

Jörg Renatus, Managing Director of Europlant:

"30 years ago, EUROPLANT has been established, the beginning of our journey. We are proud to look back on a successful and dynamic company history driven by your trust and cooperation. With a sale of over 500,000 t of potatoes, we have also gained a significant market position internationally."
Europlant now has sales structures in over 70 countries on all continents. The decades of very successful research and breeding by the sister company Böhm-Nordkartoffel Agrarproduktion GmbH & Co. OHG (BNA) and its affiliated breeders is the basis of Europlant's success.

Jörg Renatus:

"Without your commitment, your entrepreneurial foresight, your trust and your lasting support, our successful path of the last 30 years would not have been possible."
Jörg Renatus thanked Dr Heinrich Böhm, long-time managing director of Kartoffelzucht Böhm GmbH & Co. KG and BNA, who is taking his well-deserved retirement.

Europlant and BNA announce merger for the new financial year 2023/2024

Jörg Renatus:

"We will master the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead - those of climate change, the growing world population and the decreasing free framework conditions in the international potato trade."
To be well positioned Europlant and BNA will merge.

Jörg Renatus:

"The integration of the two companies will create an even stronger EUROPLANT, which combines the units of new breeding, maintenance breeding, agriculture as well as propagation and sales."
Dr Heinrich Böhm retires

In addition to his executive activities, he was also involved in many other plant breeding committees and professional organisations.
