FPS Blancher Systems, developed by GEM Equipment of Oregon, Inc., come from a long history of custom food processing innovation since 1968. After building its first industrial blancher in 1969, GEM has designed, built, and installed more than 200 blanchers worldwide for the global food processing industry.
GEM offers custom-designed hump belt blanchers and rotary blanchers in various sizes, including 2-zone and multi-zone belt blanchers depending on required production capacity. These blanchers combine hot and cold water options, along with steam and thermal flow systems, making them suitable for products such as pasta, beans, corn, peas, potatoes, and other vegetables.
Each GEM blancher is engineered for high-quality processing with low water and energy consumption, supporting both small and large throughput operations. Built with durable materials for long service life, GEM also provides full service—from procurement to installation—delivering blanchers as stand-alone units or complete processing systems.
