McCain launches Purely Potato steam cooked potatoes for schools
Purely Potato, a new range of potato products from McCain, aims to make it easier for caterers to meet the new school food standards.
The steam-blanched potato products are designed to be cooked without oil and are unrestricted under school food guidelines.
The three cuts - Wedges, Slices and Dice - can be used as an ingredient or as an accompaniment. The products are packed in 2.5kg bags, each containing 25 portions (based on a 100g portion size), and have a shelf life of 18 months.
