In preparation for the Christmas and New Year period, Kettle Chips is introducing its winter seasonal flavour, Red Onion Chutney, to its range of hand cooked chips in the UK.
The makers say with its sweet and warming taste the flavour is the perfect accompaniment to the winter months.
The new seasoning blends sweet red onions with a chutney that includes ginger, paprika, cloves and cinnamon.
In-house chef Chris Barnard developed the flavour in the Kettle® Chips kitchen, ensuring the spices blended together to really complement each other. Chris said: “I wanted to merge together flavours that epitomise those winter months – spices that remind you of mulled wine and log fires, yet with a simple taste that is not overpowering, making Red Onion Chutney perfect on its own, with a dip, or even as part of a cheese board.”
As with all Kettle® Chips, Red Onion Chutney is made from the finest potatoes and hand cooked in small batches, using sunflower oil.
