PepsiCo has today announced it is hiring 110 employees in Leicester as part of a major £15.2m investment in its Walkers manufacturing campus.
Applications are now open and PepsiCo is looking for motivated, passionate people with a great work ethic to join its busy team at the Bursom and Leycroft Road sites. The new positions are suitable for candidates with varying levels of experience – from General Operatives and Support Operatives to more experienced Manufacturing Technicians.
The investment will support the introduction of a new production line at Leicester potato crisps such as the Red Sky and Walkers Extra Crunchy varieties.
First established in Leicester in 1982, the Walkers site, situated in the Beaumont Leys area of the city, employs over 2,000 people. As PepsiCo celebrates its 30th anniversary in the area, a number of long serving members of staff are reaching retirement this year, having previously clocked up over 800 years of collective service between them.
PepsiCo is now looking to both fill these vacancies whilst also creating new roles as the site expands. In the past year alone, Walkers has employed over 300 people from the Leicester area to help boost the production team.
