The agricultural lands of Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Governorate, Iraq witnessed the commencement of the harvest season on January 2, 2024. The entire process is being monitored and supervised by a team of experts working with Beirut Erbil for potato products company, BEPPCO.

The varieties of potatoes cultivated in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Governorate include Arsenal, Lady Rosita, and the industrial Fontane. These carefully selected crops will serve as the raw material for Beirut Erbil's production of natural potato products, renowned for their exceptional quality and authentic flavors.

Arsenal and Lady Rosita are excellent varieties because of their Storage capabilities, Low sugar percentage, High level of dry matter, Early maturity, and Suitable tuber shape for chip manufacturing.

The potato production journey began with the crop planting process on August 28, 2023. The official launch of the harvest season on January 2, 2024, signifies a comprehensive four-month cycle.

Presently, harvesting activities are ongoing, with a focus on collecting the entire crop and preparing it for subsequent processes such as grading and separation. These steps are integral to the production of BEPPCO's potato products.
