InvestIndustrial (Kiremko, Idaho Steel and Reyco) acquires Tummers and Van der Giessen to bolster its potato processing equipment capabilities

A leading food processing equipment group held by an independently managed investment company affiliated to Investindustrial, and comprising the Kiremko, Idaho Steel and Reyco brands, has completed the acquisition of 100% of Tummers Group and Van der Giessen, bringing together specialist companies with complementary capabilities across the potato processing value chain.
Expanded portfolio and capabilities
The acquisition combines Kiremko, Idaho Steel and Reyco’s expertise in frozen potato processing with Tummers’ expertise in fully integrated potato flake lines, drum drying technology and related industrial solutions, as well as Van der Giessen’s expertise in equipment installation and on-site services.
The enlarged group aims to offer customers a broader portfolio of solutions, stronger innovation capabilities and expanded global support. The combination will also accelerate the development of recovery solutions focused on water, waste heat and steam to help customers improve resource efficiency, reduce energy consumption and lower total cost of ownership.

Together, the companies will form a broader industrial group serving customers in both french fries and potato flakes, with greater technical expertise and stronger capabilities in automation, digital technologies, customer service and local support across Europe, North America and Asia.

New group identity to be announced
The enlarged group will continue to invest in and build on the heritage of each company. Kiremko, Idaho Steel, Reyco, Tummers and Van der Giessen will remain specialist brands while continuing to create value for customers in their respective areas of expertise.
The group will announce its new corporate name shortly. The new identity will support its long-term growth and vision while preserving the individual brands.
