USDA buys large amount of red potatoes to 'reduce the strain on red potato producers'
Red Potato Farmers in North Dakota and Minnesota helped out by a $3 million in purchase of red potatoes for nutrition assistance programs through U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS).
NDSU Professor Harlene Hatterman-Valenti talking about her research into the effects of the herbicides dicamba and glyphosate on potatoes. One of her findings is that weather can affect the level of harm done to potatoes by dicamba.

Northern Plains Potato Growers Association (NPPGA) has launched a new website, one entirely dedicated to promoting potatoes grown for the fresh market and branded as Red River Valley Potatoes. Fittingly, the new web address is RedRiverValleyPotatoes.com.
