Royal Cosun: Significant upturn of results in turbulent 2022 Dirk de Lugt, Chairman of the Board of Royal Cosun
At Aviko, sales in frozen and chilled potato products grew strongly, partly due to the recovering foodservice market. The new Aviko factory in Poperinge in Belgium, which opened last year, and Aviko’s operations in China are contributing to this growth.
Royal Cosun (parent of potato processor Aviko) closed 2020 with a slightly higher group result than in 2019.

Royal Cosun (parent of potato processor Aviko) closed 2020 with a slightly higher group result than in 2019. Aviko had an exceptionally turbulent year. Lockdowns exerted pressure on Aviko’s turnover in the foodservice channel, whereas other business groups benefited directly or indirectly from higher sales in the retail channel.

Dutch-based company Aviko, one of Europe’s biggest producers of fresh, frozen, dried and specialty potato products, has announced a major investment in its production capacity in Poperinge, Belgium.
