Durazno is a native Peruvian potato (Solanum tuberosum subsp. andigena) with medium abundance, traditionally grown between 3,300 and 4,000 meters above sea level. Named for its peach-like appearance or tone, this variety is appreciated for its smooth cooking qualities, making it ideal for boiling, soups, and especially pachamanca (a traditional Andean earth-oven preparation).
