Muru Wayru is a native potato variety (Solanum chaucha) known for its striking bicolor skin and flavorful flesh. Grown in the high Andes, it thrives in traditional farming systems and is valued for both fresh and preserved uses.

Tuber Characteristics:

  • Skin Color: Intermediate reddish-purple with irregular cream-white areas
  • Flesh Color: Light yellow
  • Sprout Color: Red
  • Yield: 0.5–1.3 kg per plant
