Pom-over

Two years after the launch of the Fliegl push-off trailer in Belgium, a number of different clients have started using their own vehicles to transport potatoes. When using fall breakers, the potatoes remain undamaged and sliding the load into the chute is a great advantage as the potatoes enter the chute evenly distributed. There are no bottlenecks therefore.
In response to market demand, Ludo Pauwels bvba, in partnership with VDW constructions, has created a loading band called Pom-Over that fits onto the Fliegl push-off trailer. The band does not just serve to transport the potatoes;it also has cleaning rolls between the vehicle and the loading band so that the potatoes are given an extra clean before being loaded into the truck.
Polishers come standard but axial rolls can also be supplied.

The advantages of the combination of Pom-Over with the Fliegl push-off truck are:

• stable assembling due to low centre of gravity,
• additional cleaning option, the earth remains on the field;less tare goes through to processing,
• the driver decides how clean the potatoes need to be as the loading band, cleaning rolls and the push-off trailer can all be regulated individually,
• it is possible to load over the furrow,
• potatoes suffer less damage as the last part of the loading band lies flat with the top of the truck. It is possible to regulate the height of the loading band
• Pom-Over can be dismantled in 15 minutes and it is possible to use the push-off trailer for a great many other tasks as well.
