Potato Europe is an annual event for the European potato industry, organised in rotation in either Germany, Belgium, France or the Netherlands.

Potato Europe 2018 will be held in Germany.

Preparation for Potato Europe 2018 well underway

Preparations for this year's PotatoEurope exhibition are progressing well, with planting now complete at the event venue, Rittergut Bockerode farm, near Hanover in Germany

Zasso High Voltage Electrical Haulm Killing to be demonstrated at Potato Europe 2018

As a result of the uncertainty regarding the reapproval of the active ingredient Diquat the potato industry made an effort to identify alternative solutions for haulm desiccation. Haulm killing with high-voltage electrical current showed the greatest chances of success.

How should the next Potato Europe be organised?

For the second time in a row, Potato Europe in Emmeloord, the Netherlands, has fallen through. And the consequences were extreme this year as the first day of the fair was cancelled. We look back with some of the exhibitors and people involved. And we look ahead, because what is going to happen in coming years?
