Aviko houdt de contractprijs voor fritesaardappelen dit jaar gelijk. Aviko doet dit, ook al zijn de kosten voor het aardappelverwerkend bedrijf gestegen. Dat zegt directeur Grondstoffen Dick Zelhorst van Aviko in een interview met het Agrarisch Dagblad. De nadruk in de contracten komt steeds meer te liggen op kwaliteit.
Ook Lamb Weston Meijer en McCain houden zowel de contractprijs als de pootgoedprijs hetzelfde als vorig jaar.
Farm Frites heeft de contractprijs iets verlaagd, maar omdat ook de pootgoedprijzen verlaagd zijn, ontvangen de telers in de contracten per saldo hetzelfde als vorig jaar.

Aviko Advances Factory Electrification with E-Boiler Installation in Lomm Supporting Net Zero Goals
Aviko has installed a fully electric e-boiler at its Lomm factory in the Netherlands. Powered by renewable electricity, it will replace part of the site's natural gas-based steam generation and cut CO₂ emissions by at least 4,800 tonnes a year.
