Recently, a special reception was held in Seattle to raise awareness about the Asian &Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF), which is the largest non-profit organization in the United States devoted solely to providing college scholarships for Asian and Pacific Islander American (APIA) students.
Nearly 70 people, including many leaders from the APIA and minority community in the Pacific Northwest, attended the reception. Blaine Hirai, a member of the Board of Directors of the APIASF and the Chair of Annie’s Fun, was instrumental in organizing and hosting the reception.
During the reception, awards were presented to Vivian Cosey-Glover and McCain Foods USA and to Fernando Martinez and the Northwest Minority Supplier Development Council for their outstanding efforts and leadership to promote and advance diversity.
