Potandon Produce announced that beginning in July, Green Giant® Fresh Klondike Rose Potatoes is participating in the Box Tops for Education program.

Providing children a quality education is a high priority for Moms and the Box Tops for Education program helps connect with those valuable consumers. Box Tops for Education turns everyday activities, like cooking a nutritious potato dish for your family, into cash for America’s schools. Many Kindergarten through 8th grade schools raise money each year to make ends meet and over $475 million has been earned through Box Tops for Education since the program started in 1996, with 24 million households participating in the program every year.

“We are proud to be able to offer Box Tops on our Klondike Rose potatoes,” stated Potandon’s Vice President of Sales, Dick Thomas, “Being able to offer healthy potatoes and also give back to schools makes this program advantageous to everyone.”

Other Green Giant Fresh produce items offered with Box Tops include Corn, Raisins, Oranges, Baby Cut Carrots, Mushrooms, Asparagus, Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli, Romaine Hearts, Cauliflower and Iceberg Lettuce.

America’s schools have earned more than $475 million through the Box Tops for Education® program since the program started in 1996 including more than $74 million in the 2011 – 2012 school year.  Thousands of schools have used that cash to purchase items such as computers, library books, art supplies and playground equipment.  Schools can earn up to $20,000 by clipping Box Tops coupons from hundreds of products and can earn eBoxTops® by shopping online through the Box Tops Marketplace®.
