Aviko Begins New Expansion Phase at Potato Dehy Factory in Gansu, China

Aviko has officially launched the next phase of expansion at its Gansu factory, marking a significant step in strengthening its footprint in the Asian market. The milestone was celebrated on 15 December in Zhangye, together with representatives, partners and colleagues.
The Gansu facility produces high-quality potato flakes that are supplied to customers across Asia and international markets. The new expansion underlines Aviko’s long-term commitment to the region and reflects Asia’s growing strategic importance within the company’s global growth strategy.
Long-standing partnership and strategic location support growth
The factory has been operating for more than 15 years as a successful joint venture with the local government of Minle County. Its location offers key advantages, including fertile farmland, a favourable climate and strong regional infrastructure, supporting efficient and sustainable production.
The newly announced production line is expected to become operational by the end of 2027. Once completed, it will further enhance capacity and reinforce Aviko’s role in developing and transforming the potato industry in the region.
Through this investment, Aviko continues to build on its global growth ambitions while serving customers worldwide from its Gansu base.
