Starch producer Royal Avebe completes 2025 potato campaign and enters inter-campaign period

Royal Avebe has completed the potato campaign for the 2025 growing year. The potato starch factories in the Netherlands and Germany operated well and steadily during the campaign.

Processing went according to plan. The quality of the delivered starch potatoes was good. The average starch content was around 20%. There were, however, differences between regions.
 

Processing results and potato supply

This growing year, there have been many potatoes on the market in Europe. Avebe has also noticed this. In total, more potatoes were processed this year than average. All potatoes that members registered in the autumn inventory according to the delivery conditions (A, B and C volume) have been collected.
 

Inter-campaign period and next steps

Now that the potato intake has been completed, the inter-campaign period begins. During this period, maintenance is carried out on the factory installations and preparations are made for the coming growing year. Avebe also has factories that operate all year round, just like the sales of potato starch and potato protein, which continue throughout the year.

The campaign price for the 2025 growing year will be announced at the end of May.
