LWM RUS, the leading producer of frozen potato products in Russia, has signed an investment agreement with the governor of the Lipetsk region to more than double the production capacity of its French fry plant.

Lamb Weston / Meijer strengthened its position in the frozen processed potato market in Russia with the acquisition of a majority share of its existing joint venture with the Belaya Dacha Group. The joint venture owns Russia’s largest French fries factory.

The leadership of the Dutch company Lamb Weston Meijer, LWM CIS B.V., asked the Federal Antimonopoly Service to give it preliminary consent to acquire 39,38% of LLC Lamb Weston Belaya Dacha.
