Golden Enterprises, Inc. is a small publicly traded snack food company operating in the Southern United States.

Golden Enterprises, Inc. is a holding company which owns all of the issued and outstanding capital stock of Golden Flake Snack Foods, Inc., a wholly-owned operating subsidiary company.

The Company was originally organized under the laws of the State of Alabama as Magic City Food Products, Inc. on June 11, 1946. On March 11, 1958, it adopted the name Golden Flake, Inc. The Company was reorganized December 31, 1967 as a Delaware corporation.

On January 1, 1977, the Company, which had been engaged in the business of manufacturing and distributing potato chips, fried pork skins, cheese curls, and other snack foods, spun off its operating division into a separate Delaware corporation known as Golden Flake Snack Foods, Inc. and adopted its present name of Golden Enterprises, Inc.

In 2007 Golden Flake Snack Foods, Inc attracted attention with the launch of a caffeine containing potato chip. However, the company does not offer such a product currently.

The company operates two production plants, one in Birmingham Alabama, the other one in Ocala, Florida.
