United Biscuits (UBUK) has announced that it will be adding 25% extra weight to its range of handypacks to offer consumers even greater value for money and drive sales for retailers. Available now, the new extra weight packs will be available for the top-selling Hula Hoops, Skips, NikNaks, Disco’s and Wheat Crunchies brands.
The new handypacks including the 25% extra weight will feature an on-pack flash communicating the larger pack size to give greater visibility for the range on shelf. With an MRRP of 49p, the range of 25% extra weight handypack snacks will allow retailers to offer greater value to their customers and grow sales by stocking up on this new format.
More bang for your buck
George Johnston, Marketing Director - Bagged Snacks, UBUK, commented: “Price and value for money continue to play a crucial part in consumers’ purchasing decisions and remains a key focus for the snacking category. With almost 16 billion snacking occasions and 650 million of those out of home snacking occasions, there is a massive opportunity for retailers to grow their sales by offering consumers greater value for money by stocking up on this new range of handypack snacks with 25% extra weight.
“With the new 25% extra weight range including some of the category’s best selling brands and worth a combined value of £140m*, retailers should stock up now.”
