Als start voor het Internationale Jaar van de Aardappel werd woensdag 16 Januari een aardappel middag georganiseerd op proefbedrijf Kollumerwaard. Onder de sprekers was de Minister van LNV mevrouw Gerda Verburg die later rondging bij de deelnemende bedrijven waaronder aardappel bedrijf Schaap Holland.
