Uit de laatste proefrooiingen van het PCA op 1 september jl. blijkt dat de groei van de aardappelgewassen eruit is. In de vroeg geplante percelen in Vlaanderen blijkt verder dat het percentage grof dit seizoen tegenvalt. De gewassen zijn dit jaar ook eerder aan het afrijpen.
De huidige gemiddelde hectareopbrengst (week 36) ligt rond de 46 ton, gemiddeld 5 ton minder dan in oogstjaar 2007 maar 3 ton meer dan het meerjarig gemiddelde.
In Wallonië heeft men een goed groeiseizoen achter de rug waardoor de uiteindelijke hectareopbrengst boven het meerjarig gemiddelde zal uitkomen. Ook het percentage grof lijkt goed.
