Variety Description

Arka is an advanced Dutch potato cultivar developed from the cross MPI 19268 × Gineke. It has an erect growth habit, red-violet flowers, and produces large, uniform, red-skinned tubers with cream to light yellow flesh.

The variety matures from early to late, offers high yield potential, and shows excellent resistance to late blight, both in foliage and tubers. It has good drought tolerance, moderate cooking quality, and a high dry matter content, though it's not suitable for crisp or French fry processing. Its dormancy is medium to long, making it suitable for storage.
