HILITE RUSSET

Hilite russet medium to high yielding variety. Tubers are uniform in size and are highly resistant to internal brown spot and second growth; they have good resistance to net necrosis and hollow heart. Susceptible to drought. Medium dormancy period; good storability; low to medium specific gravity.
 

• Utilization: good baking and frying quality.
• Chief Markets: fresh market.
• Tubers: oblong; russetted brown skin that shows reddish pink to deep purple coloration under stress conditions; shallow eyes, intermediate in number, evenly distributed; slightly prominent eyebrows; white flesh.
