Purple Viking potatoes are generally small to medium in size, averaging 7-10 centimeters in diameter, but can grow to a large size when given too much space in cultivation. The round to oblong tuber has smooth, firm skin with a few shallow eyes, and is covered in mottled shades of purple and red.
