The Uğur (also spelled Ugur) potato variety is one of four high-yielding cultivars developed in Azerbaijan, alongside Chenlibel, Turan, and Vagif. These varieties were introduced by the Scientific Research Institute of Vegetable Growing under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Agriculture. As of early 2020, they were undergoing official registration with the Agency for Agricultural Services.
