Aphasol

Aphasol

Aphasol

Damaco Group, in collaboration with Ghent University, has developed a new amino acid biostimulant based on poultry by-products, called Aphasol.

The innovation lies in the source material being used to produce the biostimulant (chicken feathers) and the patented hydrolysis process to turn this source product into a qualitative, stable biostimulant product with a high degree of low-molecular weight peptides and free amino acids, the source of the bio-stimulating properties of the product.

Aphasol increases tolerance to abiotic stress. The amino acids in Aphasol act as precursors for crucial plant survival mechanisms. The product improves the uptake and efficiency of use of the available nutrients.

Bottom line, this results in higher yields and better crop quality. Aphasol is a foliar application. The product is soluble in water and can be applied in combination with all common fertilisers and crop protection products.

Aphasol is a circular economy product. The raw material is for 100% a residual flow that is converted into a product with high added value for agriculture by means of innovative production processes. Unlike many other amino acid biostimulants, no chemicals are used in the production process.

The product helps farmers to counter the impact of climate change (in the form of heat, drought, excessive rainfall, etc.) and other abiotic stress, resulting in higher yields and better crop quality.

In addition, good results have already been shown with Aphasol at lower nitrogen fertilisation. In other words, the product can offer an important alternative to the increasingly strict nitrogen regulations.
