Cryolux™ is a purpose-designed ultra-low-profile LED high bay engineered for cold stores, freezers, temperature-controlled warehouses and loading areas where clearance, reliability and installation simplicity are critical.
With an exceptionally shallow 50 mm installed depth, Cryolux sits close to the ceiling, helping maximise usable storage and operating space while significantly reducing exposure to forklift masts, high loads and other impact hazards. Its robust construction makes it ideally suited to demanding logistics and industrial environments.
Designed Specifically for Cold-Store Applications
Cryolux is engineered to operate reliably in challenging low-temperature environments, with a standard operating range of −30°C to +35°C and custom solutions available for applications below −30°C.
For new freezer installations, the remote LED driver can typically be mounted above the insulated PIR ceiling, requiring only a single cable penetration. This provides convenient future access to the driver while helping maintain the integrity of the ceiling's vapour barrier.
For LED upgrade projects, Cryolux can reuse existing cable penetrations and mains wiring. The existing supply can be converted to a protected SELV connection to the luminaire through the supplied IP67 connector, avoiding unnecessary additional penetrations and reducing installation time, disruption and risk.
Ultra-Low Profile – Only 50 mm
The 50 mm installed depth is one of Cryolux's key advantages.
By keeping the luminaire tight to the ceiling, Cryolux:
- Reduces projection into operational areas
- Minimises the risk of forklift and equipment strikes
- Maximises clearance above high-level racking
- Helps protect insulated ceiling systems
- Reduces the potential for impact-related downtime and maintenance
High-Efficiency LED Performance
Cryolux is available in three standard power levels:
- CRX1 — 60 W | 9,000 lm
- CRX2 — 120 W | 18,000 lm
- CRX3 — 180 W | 27,000 lm
The range delivers up to 150 lm/W nominal efficacy, based on the Isollux XE LED chipset at 5000 K and CRI 85.
All models provide L80 (B0) >102,000 hours at Ta 35°C, with an L85 performance exceeding 10 years of continuous 24/7 operation, supporting long-term stable illumination and reduced maintenance requirements.

Cryolux™ Ultra-Low Profile LED High Bay — CRX1, CRX2 and CRX3 models, delivering 9,000–27,000 lumens with a compact, robust design for cold stores, freezers and demanding industrial environments.
Precision Optical Control
Cryolux offers a choice of symmetrical and asymmetric optics to provide controlled illumination for different installation environments.
- Symmetrical options include: 15°, 25°, 45° and 60°
- Asymmetric options include: 25° × 130°, 40° × 130° and 60° × 130°
The asymmetric forward-throw optics are particularly suitable for loading bays and areas where light needs to be directed away from vehicle operators while minimising unwanted spill and glare.
Robust Construction for Harsh Environments
Cryolux features robust CNC-formed construction and polycarbonate lenses designed to withstand demanding industrial conditions.
The luminaire provides IP66 protection, helping protect against moisture, condensation and the temperature cycling commonly experienced in cold stores and freezer environments.
Its sealed and vented construction helps protect the LED system from changing humidity and condensation, while the robust mechanical design provides resistance to accidental impact and contamination.
For applications involving significant vibration, potted remote drivers and optional machine-mounted configurations are available.
Remote SELV Driver
The remote potted LED driver can serve one or multiple luminaires and can be positioned above the controlled area or mounted to beams and purlins using optional mounting arrangements.
The driver incorporates multiple layers of electrical protection, including:
- IP66 minimum protection IP67 screw-terminal connection
- Flicker-free output Under-voltage protection
- Over-voltage protection
- Short-circuit protection with automatic recovery
- Over-temperature protection
- 90–305 VAC wide input range
- Surge protection up to 6 kV differential mode / 10 kV common mode
- Class I & II hazardous-environment suitability
Flexible Lighting Controls
Cryolux supports DALI and wireless lighting control systems, with control components selected according to the operating temperature and installation environment.
Low-temperature PIR sensor options are available for freezer applications down to −40°C, providing additional opportunities for intelligent energy management.
Simple, Fast Installation
Cryolux has been designed with installation efficiency in mind.
For PIR ceiling installations, the mounting brackets can be attached to the luminaire during positioning. Through-luminaire marking allows accurate fixing points to be established before the brackets are removed and riveted to the insulated ceiling.
The luminaire is then secured using four bolts into captive threaded inserts before being connected to the protected SELV supply through the IP67 connector.
For beams and purlins, optional U-brackets can be supplied to suit the installation profile, with an optional remote-driver mounting arrangement.
Emergency Lighting Options
Cryolux can also be configured for emergency lighting applications, with options including:
- 30 W / 90-minute emergency pack
- Auxiliary 30 W driver to reduce
- UPS loading DALI control for assigning selected luminaires to an emergency lighting scene
Battery packs are mounted close to the driver and require a minimum ambient temperature of 0°C.
