News on Potato Trade from the Netherlands

The value of the shares in HZPC Holding B.V., the world market leader in potato breeding, has been fixed at €145.80 during the recent stock trading day. This means the value of the certificate has once again decreased by the maximum (10%) that is allowed.

HZPC, world leader in potato breeding, announced during the shareholders’ meeting on 5 October that a consolidated net turnover of €318.5 million has been determined for the financial year 2016/17. The gross profit is €59.3 million and the net result is €8.5 million.

In de maand februari zijn er (bron PA) meer aardappelen verwerkt die afkomstig waren van invoer. Van het totale volume aardappelen verwerkt tot consumptieproducten (286.000 ton) bleek bijna 87.500 ton ingevoerd (30,6%) tegen 73.300 ton (26%) in februari 2011.
