Knowledge sharing across the potato value chain
The organizers are placing a strong emphasis on knowledge sharing.
Leanne Mol-Van de Erve:
"In addition to the opening session and two seminars, visitors can choose from 25 knowledge sessions. This is intentionally fewer sessions than at the previous edition, creating more time for visitors to explore the indoor and outdoor exhibition."
The sessions cover a broad range of topics relevant to the entire potato value chain, from crop protection and fertilization to technology and the market. For young growers, the Young Farmers Programme will feature inspiring and up-to-date presentations. This year's programme is supported by NAJK and Boerenbusiness.
Startup Plaza and machinery demonstrations
New for this edition is the Startup Plaza, with Rabobank joining as a partner. Five startup and scale-up companies will present their innovations. The innovation expected to have the greatest impact will receive an award, with both a professional jury and visitors voting for the winner.
This edition will feature several machinery demonstrations. Partners Grimme, Flikweert Vision, VHM Machinery and Van der Peet will showcase their latest technologies for unloading and sorting lines. During the event, potatoes will be unloaded, optically sorted and loaded into storage boxes. Partner Tolsma Grisnich will also demonstrate its optical sorting technology. The group of nine partners further includes Rabobank, Van Iperen, K+S and Syngenta.
