Barbarie SAS, operating under the brand Barbarie Palox, is a France-based manufacturer of wooden storage solutions for the agricultural and industrial sectors.
Under its Barbarie Palox brand, the company produces storage bins for potatoes, carrots, onions, and various fruits and vegetables, as well as custom heavy pallets for logistics.
Founded in 1949 as an artisanal carpentry workshop, the company expanded in the 1990s into the potato storage bin market, later evolving into Barbarie SAS in 2000. It now operates as part of a holding that includes J.P. Marquet SAS, a pallet manufacturing specialist producing around 1,900 truckloads of pallets annually from its Quinsac site.
From its facility in La Chapelle-Faucher, Dordogne, the company processes between 30,000–40,000 m³ of French maritime pine each year, sourced sustainably and aged 1–2 months before use. All products are designed, machined, and assembled on-site, ensuring quality control at every stage.
The group has further expanded with Sipalex Emballages (2018), Sylvatrade Négoce (2019), and Beynel Palox (2020), continuing its commitment to supplying robust, sustainable wooden storage and transport solutions worldwide.
