Ondernemer Aad Ouborg heeft Het Grote Frietboek gepresenteerd. Het boek van culinair journalist Ellen Scholtens gaat over alles rondom een van de meest favoriete eetproducten in Nederland: frites.
De man achter frituurpanmerk Princess zegt zeker te weten dat hij 100.000 exemplaren van Het Grote Frietboek gaat verkopen. ‘Al is het maar bij aankoop van een Princess-friteuse’, aldus Ouborg.
Het Grote Frietboek is het debuut van culinair journalist (AD, Winelife) en Kunsthal-KOOKT-samensteller Ellen Scholtens in boekvorm. Het Grote Frietboek geeft antwoorden op de vraag of de Fransen of Belgen het eerst waren. Wanneer Nederlanders bezeten raakten van een zak patat. En waarom onze frietsaus geen mayonaise mag heten.
Het Grote Frietboek bevat 160 pagina’s en is sinds december 2010 verkrijgbaar in de boekhandel. Op Bol.com wordt het boek voor 9,95 euro aangeboden.
