Wyma Wins Outstanding Contribution to German-NZ Trade Award

Wyma Solutions has announced its recognition at the German-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (GNZCC) Business Award Gala held in Auckland on April 29, 2025. The Wyma team was honoured to receive the prestigious "Outstanding Contribution to DE/NZ Trade". 

This recognition celebrates Wyma Solutions’ long-standing partnership with Abenhardt, one of Germany’s leading carrot processors, which began in 2016 when Wyma designed and installed a processing line for their facility. 

Through this collaboration, Wyma has strengthened economic ties between New Zealand and Germany by integrating advanced post-harvest solutions into Abenhardt’s operations. 

In 2023, Wyma designed a specialised organic carrot processing line for Abenhardt, which was successfully installed in 2024. There's an opportunity to upgrade their existing lines in 2026. 

These installations feature the manufacturer Clean Wet Hopper, Vibrating Length Sizer, and Conveyors. Wyma's strength lies in designing and manufacturing reliable, durable equipment that has significantly improved Abenhardt's carrot processing efficiency. Wyma's expertise in integration was particularly demonstrated in implementing their organic processing line, including a third-party optical grader within a compact space without compromising performance. 

Wyma’s Territory Manager, Peter van der Loo, attended the gala to accept the award on behalf of the team. The award acknowledges how the partnership has facilitated technological innovation and enhanced efficiency in German agricultural processing.

As Wyma continues expanding its presence in European markets, this award reinforces its commitment to building cross-border partnerships that foster innovation and sustainable practices in the global food processing industry.
