Zetmeelbedrijf Avebe is één van de drie genomineerde bedrijven voor de Food Valley Award.

Avebe is genomineerd voor het van aardappel zetmeel gemaakte product Etenia, dat gebruikt kan worden om vet te vervangen, zonder dat het mondgevoel vermindert. Het product kan worden toegepast in bijvoorbeeld yoghurt, chocolademousse, croissants, snoep en roomkaas.
