Uit het overzicht van de aardappelverwerking van juni 2009 (bron Produktschap Akkerbouw) blijkt dat de verwerkers wederom op volle toeren hebben gedraaid. Maar liefst 295.300 ton aardappelen zijn verwerkt tot consumptieproducten, ruim 20.000 ton meer dan in juni 2008. Het percentage aardappelen afkomstig van invoer bedroeg 65.300 ton (22,1%) in verhouding flink minder dan vorig jaar juni toen bijna 85.000 ton (30,8%) aardappelen afkomstig was van invoer.
