De Europese Unie eist bijna 29 miljoen euro aan agrarische steun terug van Nederland. De Europese Commissie vindt dat de Nederlandse autoriteiten onvoldoende controle hebben uitgevoerd.
Dat maakte de commissie vrijdag bekend. Bij de betaling van een minimumprijs had Nederland de aanvragen van steun door producenten van aardappelzetmeel beter moeten controleren. Het gaat om de jaren 2003 tot 2008.
