Gary Linkletter elected chairman PEI Potato Board

Gary Linkletter has been elected chair of the P.E.I. Potato Board.

The Summerside producer was elected by his fellow board members during a meeting in mid-December. Linkletter began a three year term as the tablestock sector representative for the Summerside District in 2009, and has served the industry for many years at the national and international level. 

He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, and is the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Horticultural Council’s Potato Committee. Gary is a partner in Linkletter Farms, a family farm operation which grows seed, table and processing potatoes, with a concentration in the tablestock sector.
