Net als een aantal weken geleden in België zijn er nu ook aaltjes gevonden in partijen aardappelen afkomstig uit Frankrijk.
Hoewel er momenteel druk wordt overlegd met de diverse (Russische en Franse) belanghebbenden om te kijken hoe de problemen kunnen worden opgelost, ligt de exportafzet richting Rusland stil. De al gereedgemaakte partijen worden overigens wel verladen.
De Franse exporteurs schieten volgens insiders niet direct in de stress aangezien er voldoende werk is voor bestemmingen als Zuid- en Oost-Europa.
Door het (tijdelijk) wegvallen van de Franse afzet op Rusland is de werkdruk van de Belgische en Nederlandse exporteurs verder toegenomen.
