AUSVEG CEO Richard Mulcahy today confirmed the reappointment of AUSVEG Chairman John Brent and Deputy Chairman Geoff Moar.
Mr Brent was unanimously reappointed as Chairman of the Board, along with Deputy Chairman, Geoff Moar, who was also unanimously reappointed, at an AUSVEG Board meeting held on Monday that coincided with the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).
“AUSVEG values the important balance of business and industry knowledge that both Mr Brent and Mr Moar bring to the table,” AUSVEG CEO Richard Mulcahy said in confirming the reappointments.
The AUSVEG Ltd Annual General Meeting (AGM) was also held in Melbourne on Monday, with AUSVEG’s State Members from around Australia attending the meeting in South Yarra.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the progress that AUSVEG had made over the past 12 months and to outline to members the strong financial and advocacy position that AUSVEG had created over the past three years.
AUSVEG is the national peak industry body representing the interests of over 9,000 Australian vegetable and potato growers.
Mr John Said, from Victoria, was replaced on the AUSVEG Board by Luis Gazzola at the AGM.
Mr Brent paid tribute to Mr Said for his contribution to the AUSVEG Board over the past three years and noted in reflecting on his contribution to the Board and the broader industry, the valuable insight Mr Said had provided with respect to the retail sector in particular since he was appointed in 2008.
Mr Brent said that Mr Gazzola would be a welcome addition to the Board, with his experience and passion as owner of a leading Australian vegetable growing business over several decades ure to be an invaluable asset, not only the industry, but also to AUSVEG.
