De Duitse bedrijven EWB en Hansa Terminhandel werken aan een contract voor frites dat kan worden verhandeld op de termijnmarkt.
Met zo’n termijncontract kunnen de aardappelverwerkers hun prijsrisico’s op de afzetmarkt verkleinen. Directeur Joachim Tietjen van Hansa Terminhandel wil overleggen met de aardappelverwerkers in Nederland, België en Duitsland om een termijncontract voor frites te ontwikkelen.
"De verwerkers kunnen zich bij de inkoop van hun aardappelen al indekken op de termijnmarkt in Frankfurt. Het zou goed zijn als ze dat ook kunnen aan de verkoopkant", zei hij vrijdag op een bijeenkomst in Maastricht van financieel adviesbureau FS Innovators.
