Dual Manter M2 XXL weighers and SemiPack machines installed at Balaji Wafers
Manter and Allround deliver two potato packing lines to Balaji Wafers in India

Manter, together with its Indian partner Allround (India) Vegetable Processing Machines, delivered two new lines to Balaji Wafers in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, in early 2026. The installation consists of two M2 XXL weighers and two SemiPack packaging machines. With this setup, Balaji Wafers will package its potatoes semi-automatically into 50-kilogram PP woven bags.
The new installation marks a further step in automation for Balaji Wafers, where a significant amount of manual work was previously required in the packing process.
Automation and efficiency
The new line helps increase processing speed, support more consistent product quality, and reduce the physical strain on employees involved in the operation. By automating a larger part of the bagging process, the installation also contributes to a more efficient overall workflow at the Ahmedabad facility.
Allround Shake Grader feeds the Manter line
In addition to the Manter equipment, an Allround Shake Grader with inspection tables has been added to feed the Manter line. This system grades the potatoes before packing. Potatoes with a diameter of less than 40 mm are discharged for the production of potato flakes, which are used, among other things, to make mashed potatoes.
Potatoes larger than 40 mm are transported to the Manter line, where they are subsequently packed in 50-kilogram PP woven bags. The integration of the Allround Shake Grader with the Manter line creates an efficient and fully integrated process, strengthening the collaboration between the two companies in the Indian market.
